WE Lead: Women in Politics
WE Lead provides access to energizing programs that develop leadership skills and build professional networks for women in business.
Join us on October 3 to hear from Delegate Lashrecse Aird, Missy Neff and Mary Franklin, three women working in Virginia state politics.
Delegate Aird was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2016 and represents the Counties of Chesterfield (part), Dinwiddie (part), and Prince George (part); Cities of Hopewell (part) and Petersburg. In the House, she serves on the Appropriations; Health, Welfare and Institutions; and General Laws committees.
Ms. Neff currently is a senior vice president at McGuireWoods Consulting where she works in the firm's MWCAdvocacy group. She assists clients on a wide variety of healthcare, natural resources, and educational legislative issues at the federal, state, and local level and has developed strong relationships statewide with a wide range of constituencies.
Ms. Franklin serves as aide to Delegate Danny Marshall, and currently serves as President of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women, an organization that encourages close cooperation between independent groups that are working for sound government, promotes the interchange of ideas and experiences in order to identify effective policies, and encourages statewide and national approaches to the problems facing the Commonwealth.
Dr. Tiffany Franks, President of Averett University, will moderate this conversation, and a networking social with beverages will follow.
