Dec 9    Christmas Readings for Young Children
Averett University's 1859-Coffeehouse Lecture Series is pleased to present the "Dr. Betty Heard Christmas Readings: Communicating with Children" (ages 4-9). The event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The University has presented Christmas Readings for Children for the past four years. Our dear friend and beloved colleague, the late Dr. Betty Heard, was our first reader for the children. Because of her love for children's literature and her love for the Christmas Readings, we have named this special night in her memory. Linda Lemery, circulation manager at the library, will be the reader for this very special event.
