Beverage distribution company seeks Controller to manage all aspects of the company’s financial management. Candidate must possess excellent accounting and computer skills, be a positive-minded self-starter with superior attention to detail and excellent problem resolution skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support all aspects of accounting management.
- Oversee daily operation of Cash Receipts, Inventory, Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Maintain the system of accounts, make journal entries and reconcile those accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
- Prepare budgets or forecasts and report on budget vs. actual performance.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit/review and annual industry reporting.
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or out-of-balance conditions.
- Maximize utilization of accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (month close, budgeting, etc.)
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and general ledger systems
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Management experience over other personnel
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus, but not required
