A Mindful Moment in Nature: A Guided Hike
Join us for a refreshing mindfulness guided hike designed by the Dan River Basin Association (DRBA) exclusively for Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce members. This unique outdoor experience invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the natural world.
We’ll begin our journey at the Monarch Waystation in Anglers Park, discovering the vital role this habitat plays in pollinator conservation. From there, we’ll embark on a one-mile loop trail through the serene landscapes of Anglers Park. Along the way, a guide will lead you through gentle mindfulness exercises that engage your senses—listening to the sounds of the woods, observing the play of light, and feeling the textures of the trail—all to cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and foster a deeper connection with nature.
No special equipment or experience is needed—just comfortable walking shoes and a willingness to slow down and be present.
Reconnect. Reflect. Rejuvenate.
The Dan River Basin Association (DRBA) is a local nonprofit that works to protect and promote 3,300 square miles of natural and cultural resources, everywhere the Dan River and its five tributaries flow. DRBA does this work through recreation, education and stewardship programs that inspire thousands of people to get outdoors, learn more about their natural environment and take action for future generations. By protecting our natural and cultural assets, DRBA is improving the region’s quality of life and making the area a better place in which to live, play and do business.
