Team Leader (Turf & Irrigation)

-Provides exceptional internal and external customer service, responds to service requests, and inquires, and addresses complex customer service-related concerns.

-Assist in operating irrigation systems to achieve specific research or maintenance goals.

-Educate clients about our services, promotions and sustainable landscaping practices.

-Assist with sales inquiries, prepare quotes & follow up on leads to convert prospects into satisfied customers.

-Assist in maintenance of warm & cool season turfgrass on a development & research facility in various settings such as greens, fairways, sports fields, residential & commercial lawns.

-Record, report, & respond to identified issues for discussion with researchers.

-Safely operate equipment (powered and non-powered tools) required for turf maintenance.

-Follow & comply with current safety procedures as well as assist in identifying new ones.

-Extensive knowledge of principles, methods, tools & practices used in specialized field & turf construction & maintenance to include the proper use & application of chemicals & irrigation systems as well as proper blends of soil mixes.

-Experience in procurement activities & basic knowledge of applicable laws & regulations.

-Responsible for the effective supervision and administration of assigned staff that includes organization & development of crews, training, work schedules, hiring & interviewing, performance evaluations, employee relations, prioritizing, & assigning work.

-Demonstrates applied knowledge and uses tools, heavy and commercial maintenance equipment and chemical agents utilized in the turf maintenance industry.

-Manages staff time for efficiency, planning & controls assigned inventory, materials, supplies & equipment.

-Experience with direct supervision & oversight of staff
