Tubing Process Technician
NOTE: Our tubing machines have a compression molding process that utilizes high frequency technology that welds the tube seam together. Applicants must have a strong mechanical aptitude and must pass the BMCT (Bennet Mechanical Comprehension Test) to be considered for an interview.
Job Purpose:
To guarantee the operation of machinery with design and product specifications as per the production plan within the agreed quality standards, with minimum wastage and undertake necessary “trouble shooting” process wherever necessary to produce highest quality product with higher efficiency.
Job Knowledge:
- Field of Specialization: Adequate exposure in Industrial Production, Knowledge of Industrial machines, Industrial Electrical & Electronics, General Machine maintenance activities, Quality concepts, Preventive & Corrective maintenance, Understanding of production plans, Hands on the job, multi-skilled person, Safety measures.
- Experience: Minimum of six months experience in Industrial production & maintenance area required.
Minimum Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in electronics, industrial maintenance, or similar field preferred.
- Industrial machine set up and changeover: 1 year (Required)
- Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)
- To set the machine as per job card and production plan
- To carryout daily preventive maintenance in the beginning of the shift
- To operate machines as per the given design conditions and process parameters
- To take care of system compliance in the shifts
- To ensure all the inputs includes raw material as per production plan
- To carryout in process inspection on tubes as per the guidelines
- To undertake in conjunction with production supervisor and maintenance personnel for trouble shooting, major breakdown and tool changes.
- To spot out the problem areas and inform production supervisor with suggestions for improvements
- To meet production targets as committed to clients without compromising quality standards
- To arrange raw material and other related inputs in shifts as per production plan through production supervisor
- To maintain production & quality records for the shift. i.e.:
- Daily reports
- Monthly reports – Shift efficiency, Machine efficiency, Control charts
- ISO documentation
- Scrap Computation
- SAP
- To implement systems and measures to bring out higher machine efficiencies and reduction in wastage on a continuous basis.
- To implement system to enhance quality improvements to meet customer expectations
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for 12 hours throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to squat and bend repeatedly throughout shift
- Ability to reach overhead throughout the shift
- Ability to push and pull materials with and without material handling equipment
Job Context: To achieve production target with high efficiency, without compromising quality standards within the time frame set by clients.
Problem Solving: To work as a team player in establishing system improvements and sustaining it for longer period. Creating ownership among the production team and encourages team exercises.
Decision Making: All decision pertaining to –day-to-day machine operations can be made by jobholder with reference to production supervisor, superintendent of operations.
